gambe impaccate

Premetto che non scrivo di running ma di bici, portate pazienza.

Sabato scorso, ferragosto, è stato tutto mio. Me lo sono preso un po’ prepotentemente e, altrettanto prepotentemente, ho pasticciato con le mie prestazioni sportive.
Ore 9.45 parto in bdc dai campi del Gavagnin con un primo obiettivo: la Pissarotta. La Pissarotta è una strada fresca e in ombra che sale ai 650 m slm in costante salita, si insinua tra le montagne veronesi sfruttando il percorso del Vaio Squaranto e, in alcuni tratti, tende a stringersi dando l'impressione di pedalare nel bel mezzo del bosco.
Ore 11.00 chiudo il primo traguardo. Ho una via d’uscita che mi permetterebbe di rientrare a casa passando da Cerro ma sto bene e fisso subito Roverè Veronese come II obiettivo. Imbocco una strada secondaria che, passando da Guaina, attraversa la contrada Campari con una violenta rampa che mi costringe al primo fuori sella della giornata.
Ore 11.30 taglio il II traguardo. Evito la strada di ritorno rilanciando verso il III obiettivo: S.Francesco. Approdo ai 1.000 m slm della contrada Jegher con un’impegnativa salita che mi scaraventa di nuovo dritto sui pedali e proseguo fino a S.Francesco dove, mezzogiorno in punto, so che potrò proseguire solamente se troverò da mangiare, altrimenti dovrò ripiegare verso Valdiporro per tornare a casa. Trovo un alimentari aperto dove mi assicuro un paio di panini con la soppressa e una lattina di birra fresca. Altroché barrette, integratori, pastiglie, redbull eccetera… Mangio, bevo e riposo le gambe. Sono pensieroso: andare avanti è uno sforzo al quale i miei muscoli non sono abituati, non ho un fondo sufficiente per affrontare tutto il giro senza soffrire. Di contro, mi rode dover rientrare. Se proseguo non trovo più vie di fuga intermedie, bisogna necessariamente arrivare a S.Giorgio.
Mangio, bevo, riposo le gambe e valuto...
Alè, bando agli indugi, proviamoci, fisso S.Giorgio come IV ed ultimo obiettivo. Arrivo a Camposilvano, giro a sinistra e so che mi aspettano i km più impegnativi della giornata e, infatti, prima di raggiungere i 1.350 m dei Parpari salto in aria. BUUMM. Non ce n’è più per niente e per nessuno. Devo fermarmi, scendere e “riflettere” per dieci minuti prima di riprovare a spingere il rapporto più agile che ho a disposizione. Un lungo rettilineo assolato, sudo copiosamente, incrocio un paio di ciclisti che rientrano, uno mi scruta dalla testa ai piedi. Non devo essere un gran bello spettacolo e immagino i suoi pensieri: solo uno sciocco si cimenta su percorsi del genere senza allenamento. Stringo i denti e finalmente il tratto duro spiana. Nel km successivo recupero bene per affrontare l’ultimo strappo che mi porta ai 1.510 m di S.Giorgio. Ce l’ho fatta! Mi merito un caffè doppio e zuccherato prima di arrivare al P.so Branchetto (1.590) e vestirmi per la lunga picchiata che mi riporterà verso la Pianura Padana.
La discesa non ha storia, attraverso Bosco Chiesanuova, Corbiolo dove mi fermo a salutare i genitori, Stallavena e Grezzana, a Poiano entro a S. Felice Extra e sono alla macchina.
Ho pedalato per oltre 84 km, 4 ore scarse (soste escluse), alla media dei 21 km/h
IO SONO SODDISFATTO!
Oggi le gambe sono un po' dure ed impaccate ed aspetto sera per farle girare agili-agili per una mezz'oretta; vediamo se si rilassano.

Lo immagino, davvero.
Quando per qualche ragione (impegni o pigrizia) non corro per più giorni, al terzo giorno di inattività mi ritrovo cattivo, nervoso e smanioso di pestare la strada correndo...
Di positivo c'è sicuro il fatto che ti stai riprendendo bene con sport alternativi e complementari alla corsa; poi speriamo che quanto prima torni anche lei!
